Folks: I feel like lately, I'm only posting to the community when I need something...which I really need to change. However, today, again, I need something. I've mentioned a few times that we are trying to reestablish our digital identity for this new company, and many of you have already helped us by updating links and following us on LinkedIn. Today I'd like to ask for your help in a way that might take more like 30 minutes, not just 5: Give us an online review on some of the most popular review sites like Capterra and G2. In today's software world, these are more important than ever, and, as we relaunch, most of the reviews are either old (G2) or non-existent (Capterra). So, tell us how you feel. Please be honest and direct...while this is about re-establishing ourselves, we also value direct, honest feedback! Thanks in advance for your continued support through this transition! https://www.g2.com/products/open-lms/reviews https://www.capterra.com/p/207738/Open-LMS/#reviews
OLMS Community: So, last week I shared with you that we are reestablishing our digital identity and we need your help. Last week, I asked you to follow us on LinkedIn, now it's time to focus on that tiny little bird that we all know and love (or hate) in Twitter. So, again here's the ask: if you're not already doing so, please follow us on Twitter @OpenLMSteam.
OLMS Community: As we continue forming this new company to better serve you all, one of the things that we are busy doing now is reestablishing our digital identity as this new company. Of course, online, everything is about volume, so we need your help. Over the next few weeks, I'd like to ask all of you to do a handful of very simple things, which will help us create our new online presence and expand our reach in global education and training.
Today's ask is very simple and should take less than a minute: follow Open LMS on LinkedIn. That's it. Just click the link below and then click "Follow". The benefit to you is that you'll also see our job postings and other topics that we share with the broad market. So, that's it. Thanks in advance. Here's the link:
So excited to be growing the team again! We're looking to hire the following roles. Please send anyone you know our way if they'd be a good fit (and if you'd like to work with them...since they will be working for you).
Just wanted to say thanks to our whole community for being patient with us as we transition to Zendesk. Change is always hard, and we appreciate your support. I've been getting pretty good feedback from employees and clients about how it has gone, but would love to get some direct feedback from the community on how you are liking Zendesk so far (just 3 days in).
Release days are always strange days for me. I'm so excited about the release, but I'm also very nervous too. This is our first release as a new company, and I want it to go perfectly, but we are imperfect. I've been working for software companies for almost 20 years, and all releases have this feeling. The team has been working so hard, and the features are so cool. I especially love the experimental work around centralized content management. Anyway, looking forward to hearing some feedback from all of you in our community.
Jobs at Open LMS: Just wanted to share these job postings with the community. There are more coming in the next few weeks, now that we are getting settled, but if you know of anyone, please send them our way.
While I know that this is a global community, I'm sitting here in Indiana, the Friday before the 4th of July, and I'm just reflecting on what a crazy year this has been. I knew it was going to be crazy early on, when we knew that Open LMS was going to become independent, but I never imagined that would happen in the midst of the biggest pandemic in more than 100 years. Now I'm looking at next week's holiday, and realizing that we're halfway through a year, and we don't know what the second half looks like.
In the midst of all of this, I wanted to say a very big, and very public thank you to the entire Open LMS team. In the midst of all of this change and uncertainty, they've stayed focused on helping our clients survive and thrive during this time, and it's been remarkable. They've found creative ways to connect with each other remotely, they've been proactive in how they reach out to clients, and they've built cool new features into our product to help our clients create a more personalized learning experience for their students.
So, as many of my North American colleagues prepare for a few days with their families, I'll say again, thank you! Enjoy the holiday. Enjoy the (socially distanced) time with your families! Looking forward to seeing you back as we get ready for back to school for so many of our clients!
