i am from Pakistan and will be happy to share my findings about LMS adaptation in Pakistan ad want to seek international experience from this platform.
Excellent, @muhammad shakoor - please do contribute your experience. We'd all love to hear about how you've adapted things for the Pakistani context.
Hello everyone,
I am Isaac from Laikipia university Kenya. I have been given the responsibility of starting e- learning at our university. We have Moddle LMS in our website which is being used in a haphazard manner. Will need plenty of help in cumming up with a standard uniform design that will be used by all the lecturers as well as useful plugins that I may need to add to the moodle LMS to make the teaching learning experience more enjoyable to both our learners and lecturers.
Thank you
Thank you for joining us @Dr Isaac G. Gitogo! The situation you describe is exactly the type of thing I'm hoping you'll be able to find help with during the 4 sessions of the Series. While the Design Session (next wednesday) and the Instructor session (on May 4) will be helpful, you'll especially be interested in the EdTech Session on July 20!
I'll love to know about the specific problems you're trying to overcome. Can you elaborate?
Thank you Ladek for your welcoming remark. The immediate issue I wish to address is identifying a suitable e-learning template for the university to adopt for use by the lecturers in transferring their face-to-face learning experience to online learning experiences ensuring that the aspect of learners' participation is not lost. The cost of the template should not be affordable for ours is a small university.
Thank you.
@Germán Rojas ☝️por favor...
Hi All,
I'm from the "Land of Oz', Australia. :).

I've joined this community to learn, gain insights and experience by eLearning professionals & communities. I'm looking forward to hearing from eLearning professionals, experts to gain some guidance and support for a career change into the field of eLearning.
Can't wait for this series to start!

Thanks for joining us @Suzanne Warner ! What part of eLearning is your "thing" - teaching, design, tech, or?
Hi Ladek, I like all parts of eLearning, 'as my thing'. From the teaching (working/learning from internal/external stakeholders), all parts of the design process, (from concept to delivery) + feedback.
Especially the current and emerging exciting software that can be used for eLearning. I'm also impressed with technology tools as VR headsets, now becoming common place. kind regards Suzanne
Thanks for sharing!
Hello from Atlanta, USA! I am an Education Specialist for a nonprofit association. We launched a new LMS about a year ago. We currently only offer two learning formats: 100% in-person classes, or 100% live, synchronous, virtual learning. We are having a bit of difficulty getting our leadership to recognize the importance and demand for expanding our portfolio of education formats (i.e. microlearning, hybrid, self-paced asynchronous, etc.). I'm excited to learn more in an effort to bring information and ideas back to our decision-makers.
Fantastic to have you here @Heather Duff! And, I love the "problem" that you're facing with convincing leadership. I highly recommend that you watch the Keynote presentation by Michelle Ockers tomorrow at the Design Session, as she will be discussing exactly this issue.
And, of course, make sure you put your specific questions in the live chat - we're all here to help and support you!
Hello, I am Jacqueline Pinto from Caracas, Venezuela.
I am a teacher and an instructional designer of ILT. Like many people, I have faced the challenge of migrating to eLearning due to the covid-19 pandemic, and am eager to learn best practices to do this in a more effective and efficient way.
I also expect to contribute to the community, as long as possible, with some things I have learned about pedagogical aspects to consider in learning processes.
Welcome @Jacqueline Pinto! I'm sure we would all love to hear about what you have learned about pedagogical aspects to consider in the learning process. Please do share!
Hello everyone. I'm from Ghana and a teacher at St. Paul Technical School Kukurantumi, Ghana. Digitization project lead. I want to have in-depth knowledge in e-learning and all the facts surrounding it. I have received some training in the use of Moodle and Eon XR. It's left with the implementation at my school. I hope l am in the right place and at the right time, to be connected to experience people, to broaden my horizon to prepare me for the task ahead.
Best regards to all of you.
