Hello everyone! I was curious to see if anyone has had luck with creating self-paced tutorial courses for users? Especially instructors? I posted a few months back about trying to develop a self-paced into to Moodle course that instructors could self enroll and participate in. I was curious if anyone has had success with this and if so if you have any tips and/or advice? Particularly with what type of activities and/or assessments you would include? Thank you in advance!
What they meant in practice is that they selected instructors that had high interest and potential to start with these courses and then created a recognition strategy around them so, once the courses were made widely available as self paced on the entire population, a high aspirational anchor was set and acted as a strong motivation towards completion
In this sense, they used certificates, forums (to trigger social responses), formative exams and summative exams with multiple attempts, and models of specific activities that institutions wanted to showcase to foster adoption, and so, they would use as a showcase while limiting complexity to reduce friction. Things like labels and assignments for example.
